One of the most influential and innovative jazz musicians of the 20th century, Miles Davis is a name that has defined the genre. This is why the announcement that Don Cheadle will be starring and directing a Miles Davis biopic got us very excited.

Now, we finally get to see the trailer for Cheadle’s directorial debut film, Miles Ahead. The film will focus on the musical genius’ life after his sudden disappearance from public view in the 1970s. From the looks of the trailer, the film promises strong performances from Cheadle as an actor as well as a first time director. Time for some Miles on the turntable until the film hits the theaters, this April.
