[UPDATED 10/15/’15] SKARP Laser Razor Suspended From Kickstarter

It’s hard to remember when you’ve last changed your razorblades, especially in the morning right out of bed. Our natural tendency to be lazy kicks in and we find ourselves shaving with the God-knows-how-old razor. It may not seem like that big of a deal; if we cut ourselves we can just put a piece of toilet paper on it. However, unhygienic and dull blades can lead to skin irritation and razor burns, and soon your face will end up looking more like the surface of Mars. When you finally do get around to replacing your blades, it all ends up in the trash as these tiny but dangerous objects cannot be recycled. The fact of the matter is that a whopping two billion razors or razor heads are tossed out every year in the US alone. Fed up with this, Skarp introduces a better way to shave for the sake of your skin and the environment.

The Skarp Razor has one major trick up its sleeve, and its the fact that you won’t have to change your blades ever again. Instead of traditional blades, the Skarp Razor uses frickin’ laser beams to shave your face. While traditional blades cut your facial hair the Skarp Razor ‘burns’ your hair off, getting rid of the need for shaving cream or even water. You can think of it as an inexpensive, portable, and safe lightsaber for your face.

The Skarp Razor’s Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its $160,000 goal, showing how this environmentally friendly and revolutionary product is striking the right chord with men fed up with the way we shave. Now if we can just figure out a way to attach these onto shark heads…
