It seems like the Spider-Man franchise is going through as many new Spider-Man/Peter Parkers as a high college kid going through bags of Doritos.
The leading man will again be a Brit, which seems to be a prerequisite to play any superhero in Hollywood these days. The young chap is Tom Holland and seems like the perfect choice to carry on the youthful vibe that his predecessors have established. Directing will be Jon Watts, a relative newcomer that has yet to direct a large scale project as the new Spider-Man.
We were eager to find out what would come of the newly formed alliance between Marvel Studios and Sony in sharing the Spider-Man character across their respective cinematic universes. It’s definitely good news for movie-goers and comic book fans alike now that the missing Avenger will make his way into the silver screen and share the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We still have a couple of years until the new Spider-Man movie so here’s to hoping that they do a better job than what they did with the Amazing Spider-Man 2.
