New York Dryline by BIG Team

Hurricane Sandy was a wake up call for many New Yorkers. Not only did the superstorm displace thousands of people from their homes and work, its impact is still felt today with major on-going rehabilitation around the City. Many architects and designers have put forth plans and initiatives to find solutions to protect vulnerable areas around the City, the latest of which is from BIG Team. Their vision is the Dryline, a protective system around lower Manhattan that not only strengthens the City in terms of storm protection but also suggests viable solutions and programs to keep the protective band relevant throughout the year.
