Our dreams of wielding a lightsaber-like shaving device might have to be put on hold. The SKARP Laser Razor‘s Kickstarter campaign has been suspended for lack of demonstrating a properly working prototype. As we can see form the video above, the demonstration does seem to be less convincing than what the makers have promised. Instead of a steady and smooth stroke that eliminates all unwanted hair, they demonstrator seems to struggle to burn off each hair strand individually.
The company has moved over to Indiegogo for another go. Looks it is difficult to attach frickin’ laser beams to the heads of anything.
