Even mediocre movies can look entertaining in a well-cut trailer dubbed with the magic of Don LaFontaine’s narration. With that said, stop motion director Mascha Halberstad doesn’t hesitate to poke some fun at the exaggerated and nearly majestic trailers of Hollywood blockbuster films.
In the video, a movie trailer is being recorded for a doomsday movie starring Rambi, a scrawny fellow who is supposed to be the hope of all mankind. If you look carefully, you can see that the smokes are, in fact, cotton wool. Two thumbs up for Halberstad for being creative and not relying on any computer graphics.
